We’re looking for a few folks to help fill a couple of important teams in Bogota, Colombia.

The first team is December 2-16 and the estimated cost is $1550 depending on final airfare costs.   The other team is January 7-21 and the cost estimate is about the same.

Plans for the trips to Colombia:

Both teams will be building individual tables and chairs for the classrooms for the two Christian Schools in Bogota.

They will need to have angles cut for the legs, table top supports and back support for chairs.   Then they will make the tops and backs of wood.   They will need people to weld, cut angles, sand, varnish, and paint.   There may be some who will help with painting in one of the schools.

Church Multiplication Facilitator

Travels to assigned country or countries three or four times per year to working along-side the national chruch multiplication coordinator for two to four weeks per visit, serving as a coach, trainer, prayer partner and consultant to initiate or nurture church multiplication. Continues coaching realtionship via phone and e-mail between visits.

This picture is the mower they are looking to purchase for the camp.  It is a Craftsman Mower, with a 26 HP Kholer engine and a 54 inch mower deck.

They need to raise about $5,500. to purchase this mower.

Camp Pallatanga

Greetings!   Summer time is drawing nearer, and for OMS Hungary, that means one thing: Summer English Camp.  I am urgently needed in Hungary as some of the usual leaders are unable to participate in camp this year.  God is bringing together a good staff for this camp, and I would very much love to work with them.

Please pray that God will provide the way and the means for me to return to Hungary in time for camp. God’s timing is perfect, and whether he brings me to Hungary this summer, or a bit later, I trust him and I am confident of his plans. He is working in the hearts of Hungarians and our team is seeing many answers to prayer.  We have begun a new prayer initiative. We are looking for people who have  a heart for this country, and who will commit to regular prayer. Mimy Muisa Kambere, Public Health Promoter for Oxfam in Haiti and in charge of the early assessment of the cholera outbreak in Carrefour declared “The current cholera outbreak in the Carrefour area is far worse than the one registered in November. At that time, there were a maximum of 900 reported cases of cholera per week.   Now, over 300 new cases are registered every single day.”

She stressed that “However, the number of casualties is far lower than we saw in November as people are able to get help faster.”  ”The first cases of this new outbreak originated in a community South of Port-au-Prince, in a mountainous area, near a river.  This area lacks access to sanitary facilities and there is very little available drinking water.  The arrival of the heavy rains last week facilitated the spread of the bacteria into the local water sources, which may have caused the spread of the bacteria” said Mimy Muisa Kambere.
